چکیده
History of animal contact is expected in these profession i.e., agriculture, veterinary, dairy farming and animal husbandry. Brucellosis is a Zoonotic disease and is not uncommon in the rural population of our country. Brucellosis is one of the most common zoonosis and continues to be a major public health concern globally especially in the developing countries. The disease can be missed in the early stage for the other diseases due to great variety of clinical manifestation. It is difficult and often impossible for a physician to give clinical diagnosis with certainty. 2 important reasons could be due to multiplicity of illness it mimics, lack of adequate facilities in most hospitals for establishing the diagnosis and lack of awareness of the disease. Though it is primarily a disease seen in animals and can be International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences ISSN: 2319-7706 Volume 6 Number 10 (2017) pp. 1550-1558 Journal homepage: http://www.ijcmas.com

A rapid, sensitive, specific and high through-put enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) methodfor determination of morphine in urine samples using penicillinase as label enzyme has been developed. Noextraction or chromatography was included in this assay procedure. Immunoglobulin (Ig) purified polyclonalanti-bodies against a C6-hemisuccinate derivative of morphine (M-C6-HS...
متن کاملApplication of the Microagglutination Test for Serologic Diagnosis of Human Brucellosis
OBJECTIVES Brucellosis is one of the most common zoonoses in the world, and occurs mainly in farmers, slaughterhouse workers, and veterinarians via direct or indirect contact with infected animals or their products. The clinical symptoms of human brucellosis are nonspecific, such as fever, headache, chills, and sweating. Diagnosis and treatment of brucellosis requires laboratory tests. Although...
متن کاملComparative efficacy of serological diagnostic methods and evaluation of polymerase chain reaction for diagnosis of bovine brucellosis
The aim of present study was to compare the diagnostic performance of the different Brucella abortus antigen based serological and molecular tests such as Rose Bengal Plate Test (RBPT), indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (I-ELISA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Out of 89 samples, 44 were positive by I-ELISA, 18 by RBPT and 21 by PCR. Substantial agreement was observed between PCR ...
متن کاملELISA Cut-off Point for the Diagnosis of Human Brucellosis; a Comparison with Serum Agglutination Test
Background: Brucellosis is a world-wide disease, which has a diverse clinical manifestation, and its diagnosis has to be proven by laboratory data. Serum agglutination test (SAT) is the most-widely used test for diagnosing brucellosis. The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) can also determine specific antibody classes against brucella. It is a sensitive, simple and rapid test, which coul...
متن کاملBrucellosis: An Economically Important Infection
Brucellosis is one of the world’s major zoonosis, caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella. The world’s most widespread zoonosis affects cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and other animals, leading to abortion, infertility, and low milk yields. Humans acquire brucellosis from direct contact with livestock or from drinking unpasteurized milk. Brucella spp. are considered as the most common laboratory-...
